To clarify up front: Yes, I'm Eric Jacobson. Yes, I am the original author of DBZ:UR. I was the owner of the Tripod site where it first lived, I was the person who posted it to FanFiction.net. I have all of the original files to prove it, too, including the first draft of the long-awaited final chapter.
I've decided to bring DBZ:UR back mostly because I've rediscovered the original files during a hard drive backup (my tech situation has greatly improved since I first started UR), and since I've been more inclined to blog, I thought it would make a nice serial story. So, I'm redoing the chapter structure a bit, save for Chapter 7, which was serial oriented anyway. I'll release a new part once a week until I get a response from the community I once was a part of. From there, we'll see what happens.
I will promise you this, though: DBZ:UR will have an ending, and it will come after the release of the last parts of Chapter 8. It's time we had some closure, isn't it?
Now, I'm off to change the format of this bloggie-poo-didly here...

Just recently, I read the story again after having read it for the first time a few years before, and I must say, I'm just DYING to see the next chapter! I keep checking back to see if you've posted it. Please post it as soon as you can ^_^

The same can be said for me.. I was feeling nostalgic the other day and decided to read up on some old fanfics i looked into years ago. Only to find that the one i loved most, still has not finished!
Mr. Jacobson... Like Olivia, I can't wait to see the next chapter. Do you have any idea when it will be out?
